Network Cabling Technician.
Location: Dili, Timor-Leste
Core Responsibilities:
- Install and terminate data and voice cables (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic) according to industry standards and specifications.
- Configure and test network connections to verify functionality and performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair network cabling issues, identifying and resolving cable faults.
- Document cabling installations and maintain accurate records of network layouts.
- Assist with the installation and configuration of network equipment such as routers, switches, and access points.
- Adhere to safety regulations and best practices while working with electrical equipment and tools.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the IT team lead.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Network Cabling Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of network cabling standards and best practices, including TIA/EIA-568.
- Proficient in using cable testing tools and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical fitness and ability to work in various environments, including at heights and in confined spaces.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing work demands.
